Tuesday, 27 September everything was ready to pull Dream out of the water to get her painted and to get the rudder fixed. This showed up more complicated than expected.

We had to dismount the roll stay and the baby stay before they could pull Dream out of the water. The work was done quite professionally and cheap. Dennis and Michal started to clean the bottom – and after a while it was like new again.

The following day Dennis, Michal and Flemming went to Lisbon to check for e-mails and to have a look at the city in which there were a lot of old charming houses and sculptures. These sculptures were covered with black plastic because of the war in Timor.

In the evening the shops started to close, but others started to open up. Everything seemed to be sold – often a little too cheap, we thought.

Later we were invited to a Danish boat, Sirius of Egaa. This boat started its world tour 19 July.

Home on the boat Mikkel, René and NP had painted a new waterline and fixed a new chain for the bowsprit. After this they had started up with a huge Lasagne and a considerable amount of red wine and beer.

We painted the bottom of the ship – with the marvellous Hempel painting. It showed up more beautiful than ever.

During the last sailing we discovered a bush bolt with some wobble. This was fixed with the help of the locals – we found some PVC pipe - at the "House and happy sailing".

The main attractions of the capital: the World Exhibition EXPO 98 and the Oceanarium were visited one day, and it was so exciting.

Monday evening we all went to Lisbon to watch the local football match between Sporting Lisbon (with Schmeichel) and another local team. A boring match that ended up 1-1.

Tuesday afternoon Dream was put in the water again – without any problems and tomorrow Wednesday we set for Cadiz in Spain - a trip of 250 sea miles.
